Width Decides Your Station Count

Desk width is the single decision that sets how many players a room holds, so start there. The Esports GG Gaming Desk comes in 36, 44, 60 and 72 inch widths. The Evolution Desk comes in 36 and 44 inch widths, both 30 inches deep, which leaves room for a surface-mount CPU alongside the play area. The Aspire Esports Desk is available at 36 and 72 inches with a choice of glides or casters. Narrower desks fit more stations per row. Wider desks give each player more field of play and more room for a full peripheral setup.

Every model puts its legs at the outer edges of the desk rather than inboard, which is what preserves leg room and lets a player sit square to the screen.

Height Adjustment and ADA Compliance

The GG Desk ships with legs pre-assembled for a 28 inch worksurface height and adjusts from 24 to 30 inches in 2 inch increments, and it meets ADA compliance standards. The Evolution Desk has height adjustable legs. Where you need a station that changes height during use, the Esports Evolution Electric Sit-to-Stand Gaming Desk gives 19.75 inches of worksurface travel with a 440 lb lift capacity, four saved height presets, upper and lower limit locks, and a child lock-out to stop unauthorized adjustment. The Champions, GG, Aspire and Electric Sit-to-Stand models are all specified for wheelchair and ADA locations.

Most esports buildouts we quote treat ADA as an afterthought and then discover the accessibility review at the end. Putting at least one height-adjustable or ADA-compliant station in the original layout costs far less than retrofitting a finished row.

Cable Management and Equipment Protection

The continuous steel cord channel runs the length of each desk. It is wide enough for most power strips, keeps cables away from feet and other players' equipment, and allows easy daisy chaining so one row of desks shares a run. A full-length flip-top door gives access to the cabling without pulling the desk apart, which matters when a technician is servicing a station between matches. The Evolution Desk adds a solid oak chair rail that protects the wiring and the back of the desk from chair impact. For the Champions Desk there is a locking CPU enclosure and a USB-C power module.

Glare, Branding and the Audience Side

The matte black laminate on these desks is specified to minimize glare and player distraction, which is the same reason the ergonomic reference setup in the Spectrum Esports Guidebook puts the monitor top at eye level and the screen 18 to 36 inches out. Edgeband accents come in 7 colors on the GG Desk and are chosen from the same palette as the chair accents, so a room reads as one set rather than a collection of purchases.

For streamed and spectated events, the GG Desk has LED light capability in its audience-side panel channel, and front and end logo panels are available. The Champions Desk takes an audience-side display mount. Unit-to-unit brackets attach desks securely into a row, and are included with the GG Desk.

Completing the Station

Desks are one layer of a station. Esports gaming chairs set the player's sitting position relative to the worksurface.
